Compensation Example

At SkillSeek, your earnings are tied directly to the value you negotiate for each successful placement. As a recruiter, you have the flexibility to discuss and agree on the placement fee* with employers, which typically stands at around 20% of the candidate’s annual salary.

Here’s an example: if the candidate’s salary is €60,000, the placement fee would be €12,000. With a commission structure of 50% on this fee, you would earn €6,000 for this placement. This amount is disbursed across three key milestones, providing you with steady income as you progress through the recruitment process.

Why Our Earnings Model Works?

Milestone 1

20% of Commission

Initial Client Sign-Up

When a client makes the payment for the first milestone, you earn 20% of your total commission. For instance, if your total commission for a placement is €6,000, you will receive 1.200 € immediately after the client’s payment for milestone 1. This structure allows you to start earning right from the initial steps of the recruitment process, showcasing your potential for immediate income as you engage with new clients.

Milestone 2

30% of Commission

Placement Confirmation

Once the candidate is successfully matched and accepted by the client, you’ll earn 30% of your total commission when the client pays the invoice for this service. This amounts to €1,800 in our example, rewarding you for your successful placement and highlighting the value you bring in connecting talent with the right opportunities. It’s a key step in the process, reinforcing your role in effective hiring while enhancing your earnings with each successful match.

Milestone 3

50% of Commission

Retention Completion

The final milestone occurs after the candidate successfully completes the retention period**, which confirms their fit with the client. Once the client pays the final invoice, you will receive the remaining 50% of your total commission, totaling €3,000. This payment rewards you for facilitating a successful long-term placement and reinforces the value of your work in establishing lasting relationships between talent and employers.

* The “Placement Fee” can be negotiated by the recruiter and may vary. It is not uncommon to see placement fees of 25% or even 30%.

** The “Retention Period” refers to a 30-day duration during which the candidate must remain employed by the client company following the placement. The final commission installment will be invoiced after this period, contingent upon the employer confirming that the candidate has successfully integrated into their role. This practice is designed to ensure satisfaction on both sides, fostering a quality placement and reducing the risk of early turnover. Please note that if a candidate leaves the position prior to the end of the 30-day retention period, the placement may be subject to review, and the final payment may be adjusted accordingly.
