Welcome to Brio, a Chrome Extension developed and maintained by SkillSeek OÜ. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Brio (“Extension”, “Service”) and all related services provided by SkillSeek OÜ, a company established in the Republic of Estonia.
By installing, accessing, or using Brio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must refrain from using the Extension.
1. Introduction
Brio is an AI-powered messaging assistant that operates within the LinkedIn platform via a browser extension. It is designed to generate personalized, context-aware replies based on recipient profiles, message history, user-defined tone, goals, and call-to-action strategies.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “You”) and SkillSeek OÜ (“Company”, “We”, “Us”), governing your use of Brio.

2. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding agreements to use Brio.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your Chrome browser and extension up to date.
If you choose to personalize your Brio settings (e.g., communication style or AI model configuration), this information may be stored to improve your experience, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
3. Description of Services
Brio enables you to:
Generate AI-powered responses to LinkedIn messages;
Customize messaging preferences (tone, style, length, CTAs);
Analyze recipient profiles and conversation context;
Choose or integrate preferred AI providers and models;
Operate in multiple languages, regions, and professional contexts.
Brio does not alter or interfere with the core functionality of LinkedIn. It overlays additional tools within your LinkedIn inbox to support efficient, professional communication.
4. User Account and Configuration
Brio does not require a separate login but may allow users to store personal preferences such as:
Language and tone of messaging;
Call-to-action behavior;
AI model and provider selection;
Predefined communication instructions.
Any custom data stored is tied to your browser instance and, if configured, your extension preferences. We recommend keeping your browser secure to avoid unauthorized changes.
5. Data Collection and Privacy
Your use of Brio is subject to our full Privacy Policy, which describes in detail the types of personal information we collect and how we use it.
In brief, we may collect:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email, and LinkedIn profile link to personalize the user experience;
User Activity Data, such as how often you generate replies, which AI models you use, and which settings you’ve configured;
Location Data, such as browser locale and approximate geographic region, to tailor the language and experience.
We do not read or store the actual content of your LinkedIn conversations beyond what is needed in-session to generate a reply. No message content is permanently stored by Brio or SkillSeek OÜ.

6. Browser Permissions
Brio requires minimal Chrome permissions to function:
activeTab— To detect when you are viewing a LinkedIn message;storage— To locally save your preferences and configuration;linkedin.com/*— To run scripts only on LinkedIn for reply generation.
Brio does not request access to any unrelated websites or services. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time via your browser’s extension settings.
7. Use of Third-Party AI Providers
Brio offers the flexibility to select from a variety of integrated third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Grok, DeepSeek, Google Gemini), or to connect your own custom AI model by manually entering API credentials and model parameters.
When you configure Brio to use a third-party AI provider, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Responsibility for Costs: You are solely responsible for any usage fees, overages, or subscription costs charged by your chosen AI provider. Brio does not control or mediate billing between you and the provider.
Third-Party Terms Apply: You are subject to the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy of each AI provider you choose to use. SkillSeek OÜ does not control how these providers store, process, or use your data, nor can we modify or influence their content filters, moderation systems, or error handling.
Data Responsibility: Any messages or content generated via third-party models are the result of an external API response. Brio acts as a client interface and does not alter the response content. You agree not to hold SkillSeek OÜ responsible for content generated or actions taken based on such content.
API Key Handling: When you connect your own API key, it is stored only locally on your device (in your browser’s extension storage) and is never sent to or stored by SkillSeek OÜ. The API key is used only for authenticating requests to your configured provider.
Use at Your Own Risk: Third-party AI models evolve independently and may introduce changes in cost, behavior, or data handling. It is your responsibility to monitor their terms and review output for appropriateness, accuracy, and alignment with your intended communication goals.
By connecting to or using any external AI provider through Brio, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. SkillSeek OÜ makes no warranties as to the functionality, reliability, or legal compliance of third-party APIs or generated content.
8. Acceptable Use
Brio is intended for professional, ethical communication enhancement, specifically in the context of LinkedIn conversations. You must comply with these guidelines when using the Extension.
You agree not to:
Send Unsolicited or Harmful Messages: Use Brio to engage in spam, harassment, phishing, fraud, or any form of deceptive or malicious outreach.
Violate Platform Terms: Use Brio in any way that violates LinkedIn’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or the rules of any platform Brio is used in conjunction with.
Exploit Brio for Abuse or Misinformation: Generate or distribute misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, offensive, or illegal content using Brio or its integrated AI services.
Impersonate Others: Falsely represent another person, company, or brand, including by generating replies that mislead recipients into thinking you are someone else.
Reverse Engineer or Modify Brio: Attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, tamper with, or modify Brio’s source code or behavior for any unauthorized purpose.
Bypass Controls: Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features or technical restrictions within the Brio extension, hosting infrastructure, or Chrome Web Store distribution system.
Scrape or Harvest Data: Use Brio in combination with scraping tools or bots to collect user information or automate unauthorized actions on LinkedIn or any other platform.
Violate Laws or Regulations: Use Brio for activities that violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including data protection laws and employment laws in your jurisdiction.
SkillSeek OÜ reserves the right to monitor usage patterns, investigate suspicious behavior, and suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate access to Brio for any user found in breach of these acceptable use guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
We may also report violations to relevant authorities or LinkedIn where legally appropriate or necessary to protect users, platforms, or public interest.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
Brio, including but not limited to its:
Source code,
User interface (UI) design and layout,
AI integration framework,
Conversation analysis logic,
Branding, logos, names, product architecture, documentation, and strategy—
is the sole and exclusive intellectual property of SkillSeek OÜ, protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
You agree not to:
Copy, replicate, or distribute any part of Brio without express written permission;
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on Brio or its codebase;
Use Brio’s name, branding, UI components, or outputs for commercial purposes without a license or written agreement from SkillSeek OÜ;
Claim authorship or misrepresent the source of the technology or its responses;
Extract or redistribute content, including AI prompts, formatting structures, or training logic embedded in the extension.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Brio for your own personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with these Terms.
SkillSeek OÜ retains all rights, title, and interest in and to Brio, including all related intellectual property and enhancements made thereto, regardless of whether those enhancements originate from user feedback or feature requests.
Unauthorized use or reproduction of any part of Brio may result in legal action, including claims for damages, injunctive relief, and termination of all usage rights.
10. Modifications and Updates
SkillSeek OÜ reserves the right to:
Modify or enhance Brio’s functionality;
Add, remove, or restrict features;
Update these Terms at any time.
Changes will be posted at: https://skillseek.eu/brio-terms-of-service/
If you continue to use Brio after changes are made, you accept the revised Terms.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant updates via email or in-extension prompts.

We welcome user feedback. If you submit suggestions or improvements, you grant SkillSeek OÜ full rights to use, modify, and implement that feedback without obligation to compensate or acknowledge you.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of Brio is at your sole risk.
Brio is provided on an “as is”, “as available”, and “with all faults” basis, without warranties of any kind — either express, implied, or statutory — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted access.
SkillSeek OÜ does not warrant that:
The Extension will function without interruption, delays, or security vulnerabilities;
The information or responses generated by Brio will be accurate, complete, or fit for your specific needs;
The Extension will remain compatible with all future versions of LinkedIn, Chrome, or third-party APIs;
Any defects or errors will be detected or corrected;
Content generated by integrated or external AI providers will reflect ethical, legal, or factual correctness;
The results or outcomes from using Brio will meet your expectations or business goals.
No oral or written advice, documentation, or information provided by SkillSeek OÜ, its representatives, or through the Extension shall create any warranty unless expressly stated in these Terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you in full — but shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SkillSeek OÜ and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and agents shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses, including but not limited to:
Loss of business, revenue, profits, or goodwill;
Damages resulting from inaccurate, inappropriate, or AI-generated content;
Reputational harm, missed opportunities, or legal consequences arising from Brio-generated communication;
Interruptions or delays in service;
Incompatibility with LinkedIn updates or Chrome browser changes;
Malfunctions related to third-party AI APIs or data processing;
Any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access through third-party integrations or user misuse;
Issues arising from incorrect or unauthorized configuration of external API models or keys.
Even if SkillSeek OÜ has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of whether such damages arise in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.
In no event shall the total aggregate liability of SkillSeek OÜ for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms, the Brio Extension, or your use thereof, exceed the greater of:
€10 (ten euros), or
The total amount paid by you (if any) to SkillSeek OÜ for Brio in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability for certain types of damages. If you are subject to such laws, these limitations may apply only to the extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SkillSeek OÜ and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, licensors, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees and court costs — arising from or related to:
Your use or misuse of Brio;
Any violation of these Terms or applicable law by you or anyone using your device or account;
Any content or message generated through Brio that results in reputational, legal, or business-related consequences;
Your breach of third-party terms, including LinkedIn’s Terms of Use, or any API provider’s terms of service;
Misuse of third-party APIs or improper configuration of Brio with your own API keys;
Allegations that messages generated by Brio infringe upon intellectual property, privacy, or any other rights of a third party.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate fully with us in asserting any available defenses.
This obligation survives termination of these Terms and your use of the Extension.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under or in connection with these Terms or your use of Brio shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts located in Tallinn, Estonia. By accepting these Terms, you consent to the jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objections to such jurisdiction or venue, including those based on inconvenience of forum.
SkillSeek OÜ and the user agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute or claim informally by contacting the other party. Only if informal resolution efforts fail may either party seek relief through formal legal proceedings as outlined above.
Nothing in this section shall prevent SkillSeek OÜ from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction to prevent immediate or irreparable harm.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect.
Where possible, the parties shall endeavor to replace any invalid or unenforceable provision with a valid, enforceable provision that achieves, to the extent possible, the original intent and economic effect of the original clause.
This clause ensures that unenforceable parts do not affect the validity of the entire agreement.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Brio Privacy Policy, constitute the full and complete legal agreement between you and SkillSeek OÜ regarding the use of the Brio Chrome Extension and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and understandings — whether oral or written — related to the subject matter herein.
You acknowledge that you have not relied upon any representation, warranty, or statement not expressly set out in these Terms or the Privacy Policy when accepting this agreement.
In case of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and any other agreement or policy referenced, these Terms shall take precedence, unless otherwise explicitly stated in writing by SkillSeek OÜ.
17. Waiver and No Agency
No failure or delay by SkillSeek OÜ to exercise any right, remedy, or provision under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of SkillSeek OÜ to be legally binding.
A waiver of any default is not a waiver of any subsequent default. A waiver of any term or condition of these Terms on one occasion shall not be deemed a waiver of such term or condition on any other occasion.
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and SkillSeek OÜ. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from SkillSeek OÜ.
