Brio is a messaging extension that integrates directly with LinkedIn to help users craft persuasive, context-aware, and fully personalized messages. It draws on your engagement profiles, business context, and past conversation history to generate relevant and strategic replies in seconds. Brio saves time, increases reply rates, and improves the quality of outreach by using a structured approach to messaging powered by AI.
Do I need any coding or technical skills to use Brio?
No. Brio is built for professionals, not programmers. Everything is managed through a user-friendly interface. You don’t need any coding knowledge to set up profiles, integrate APIs, or generate responses. Brio handles the technical complexity in the background so you can focus on your outreach.
How do I set up an Engagement Profile?
In the Brio Settings window, navigate to the Engagement Profiles tab and click Add Engagement Profile. From there, you’ll:
- Choose an API and a model (e.g., Grok-2 1212).
- Name your profile (e.g., “Recruitment Outreach”).
- Define your Call-to-Action (CTA) links, like “Learn more” or “Email me.”
- Add Sales Resources—relevant links that Brio will analyze for tone, data, and messaging.
- Add a Business Overview to describe your offerings, mission, and any essential facts.
Once saved, your engagement profile becomes the brain of Brio’s responses.
What are CTAs and how are they used?
CTAs, or Call-to-Actions, are links or contact methods that Brio can insert into your responses when appropriate. These CTAs are analyzed and prioritized according to your messaging strategy. For instance, a recruiter might include:
- A link to join their platform
- A breakdown of membership benefits
- An email or phone number for direct follow-up
Brio uses message and profile analysis to determine which CTA is most relevant, ensuring the right prompt is shared at the right time in the conversation.
How does Brio determine what to say in a message?
Brio uses a multi-step process to generate responses:
- It analyzes the recipient’s profile, including education, work history, and conversation history.
- It evaluates your business content (resources, business overview) for data and themes.
- It considers the current tone and flow of the conversation.
- It maps keywords and message content to your defined CTAs using relevance scores.
- It generates a fluent and personalized message in the recipient’s language and tone.
All of this happens in seconds, making the responses not only fast but impressively on point.
Can Brio handle conversations in different languages?
Yes. Brio automatically detects the language used in the recipient’s last message and responds accordingly. Whether you’re communicating in English, French, Spanish, German, or other supported languages, Brio will adapt both its tone and language fluency to match the conversation flow.
Can I customize how Brio writes?
Absolutely. You can set your Communication Style in the Account & Preferences section. For example, you might describe your tone as “persuasive but personable” or “direct and confident.” Brio uses this information to ensure responses match your voice and outreach style.
You can also specify whether you prefer long-form responses, short replies, more or less formal language, and so on.
Does Brio store or access my LinkedIn account or credentials?
No. Brio is a browser extension that runs alongside your LinkedIn session. It doesn’t access or store your LinkedIn login credentials. All analysis is based on visible content, your saved engagement profile, and what you type into the chat window.
Brio is not a message sender or automation tool—it enhances your messages, but the actual sending remains under your control.
Can I use multiple engagement profiles?
Yes. If you have different lines of outreach (e.g., one for recruitment, another for consulting), you can create and manage separate engagement profiles. Simply select the appropriate one from the dropdown before generating a message. This lets you adapt your messaging strategy depending on the audience.
What AI models does Brio support?
Brio supports integration with several top-tier AI providers, including:
- Grok (e.g., grok-2-1212) – default for high-context response generation
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) – great for general conversation support
- DeepSeek and Gemini – for users who prefer alternatives with unique characteristics
You can add and manage API keys under the API Integration tab.
Can Brio help me write initial outreach messages, not just replies?
Yes. While Brio excels at crafting replies, it can also generate compelling first-touch outreach messages. Use it to start conversations, not just continue them. Just select the right engagement profile and enter a bit of context or instructions—Brio handles the rest.

What kind of support do you offer?
We offer free email-based support with a response time of up to 48 hours. If you encounter issues with your setup, have questions about how Brio works, or want help crafting your profiles, simply email us at brio@skillseek.eu.
For users who want faster assistance and personalized help, we offer a 24-hour response plan for €99 per year. This plan includes:
- Priority support responses within 24 hours
- Help setting up or optimizing engagement profiles

- Troubleshooting and advanced usage coaching

Where do I go if Brio is not responding or generating messages?
If Brio seems unresponsive:
- Make sure you’re logged into LinkedIn and have an active conversation open.
- Ensure you’ve selected an Engagement Profile in the Brio panel.
- Check your API Integration tab to confirm your API key is still active and correct.
- Make sure your internet connection is stable.

How do I update my API keys?
To update your API key:
- Go to Settings > API Integration
- Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the API you want to update
- Enter the new key and click Save
If you’re using a new provider (e.g., switching from Grok to OpenAI), you can add it using the Add New API button.
Can I export or back up my settings?
Yes. Brio allows full data export under the Data Management tab. You can export:
- Engagement Profiles
- API Integrations
- Account Preferences
- All prior content analyses
This is useful if you want to back up your setup or transfer it to another computer. To restore or import saved data, upload the file using the Choose File button under Import Data.
Will Brio overwrite existing settings if I import a file?
No. When you import saved settings via Data Management, Brio adds the new data without overwriting your current configuration. This ensures you can merge profiles or update your setup without losing work.
What if I want to delete or reset my profile?
To delete an Engagement Profile:
- Go to Engagement Profiles
- Click the trash icon next to the profile you wish to remove
To reset your account preferences or communication style, navigate to Account & Preferences and edit or clear the relevant fields.
If you want a full reset of your Brio setup (including wiping all saved settings), reach out to support.
Is there a way to test Brio before committing to the premium plan?
Yes. You can use Brio with full functionality under the free support plan. The only difference is the response time for help (48 hours vs 24 hours). If you find yourself needing faster support, detailed profile help, or strategy feedback, the premium plan is available anytime.
Can I get help writing CTAs or Sales Resources?
Yes. Under the 24-hour premium support plan, we offer one-on-one assistance to:
- Refine and prioritize your CTAs
- Optimize URLs and wording
- Write compelling resource content
- Tailor each CTA to your business objectives

Is Brio compatible with all browsers?
Brio is currently optimized for Google Chrome, and we recommend using it on the latest version of Chrome for the best experience. Support for other Chromium-based browsers like Brave or Microsoft Edge is possible but not officially guaranteed.
We do not support Firefox, Safari, or mobile browsers at this time.
Does Brio work on LinkedIn Sales Navigator or LinkedIn Recruiter?
Yes, Brio works within Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Recruiter, and standard LinkedIn messaging. As long as the LinkedIn messaging panel is available, Brio can read and assist with messages.
Just make sure your Brio extension is running and an Engagement Profile is selected.
Is there a mobile app or mobile version of Brio?
Not yet. Brio is designed for desktop browser use only. A mobile app is under consideration for future development, but as of now, all functionality is desktop-based.
